First day of Girls Camp...Maren, Patricia (our wonderful camp director) Emily, Taylor and me. The girls were the YCL's for our ward and along with the rest of the YCL'S came up a day early to prepare camp for the girls. This was Taylor's last year to go to Girls Camp and my first ever to be there with one of my girls!
I was able to go as the camp Nurse and had so much fun. Taylor, Maren and Emily's group for certification seem to always have "a splinter" for me to take care of! Such fun, love these girls. Thankfully it was fairly uneventful in the sickness and injury area.
Many hours of pre-camp planning and then cabin decorated and dressed to go with the ward cabin theme, they are "Patiently" waiting for the rest of our ward girls to show up!
There were so many pictures to choose from that it was hard to pick! There were games like above as well as trying to eat donuts hung from a string hanging from a hanger on their heads, huge bubble blowing, the flour/nylon wars (have to see it to appreciate it), waterballoon volleyball and on and on. Jill Feil was amazing with all that she came up with!
There was service done around the camp and work on humanitarian projects to serve the orphans around the world. Certification for first aid, outdoor skills, cooking, etc... Above Taylor was teaching cooking bacon and bisquits on a stick over a fire. They also cooked bacon and eggs on cans over homemade candles and muffins in reflector ovens. It was amazing!
